I studied Sociology at UC Berkeley and spent the first half of my career tracking trends across business, culture, and technology. I was the first employee at PSFK and led the consultancy practice, collaborating with top-tier clients like Apple and The United Nations. I took everything I learned at PSFK and applied the methodology to R/GA, a global agency specializing in digital transformation. I was responsible for evolving their trends program, FutureVision, from an internal resource to a public-facing platform for thought leadership.
During those early years, I was exposed to a wide variety of topics and industries. It was an incredibly stimulating period in my career, but after a while, I realized that I wanted to go deeper. Instead of focusing my attention on shiny new solutions, I also wanted to address the underlying needs of consumers. To formalize my understanding of human-centered design, I enrolled in the Design Strategy program at California College of the Arts.
